Last week was the annual Banned Books Week which honors all people's right to read. Soon you will be engaged in banned book clubs, so it is helpful to begin to get informed of the controversies and current debates around the censorship of certain books.

When reading these books, ask yourselves:
- Can books be dangerous?
- Should teens have access to any and all books? Who should decide this? How?
- How do books affect readers?
