Picture Book Timeline (what's due & when)


  1. 2nd draft of stories due Wed. 1/9 (typed)
  2. Bring in research for forewords on Thurs 1/10 - at least 2 sources on your issues. Use the sources you found earlier in the process and/or collect new ones. In your foreword, you will need to provide background on your issue, so you might need facts and statistics, anecdotes, possible solutions, etc.
  3. 1st draft of foreword due Fri. 1/11
  4. 2nd draft foreword due Mon. 1/14
  5. Revise and schedule conferences for 1/8-1/16
  6. Final Picture Book - story, illustrations, and foreword - due Fri. 1/18  
  7. Other deadlines: 
  • Quiz on Unit 5 Vocabulary + grammar lessons Tues. 1/22
  • Reading Response due date CHANGED to Thurs 1/17
