1.Reading response on Romeo and Juliet due 3/9 on any topic you wish
Possible topics:
- Who is the character you like most or least? Why?
- What is a very important quotation in the play? What does it mean? Why is it important? Connect it to real life.
- Choose 1 or more literary devices to focus on. Give examples and interpret.
- Write your own creative writing such as poetry, dialogue, etc. to explore a topic in the text; combine with essay writing (prose)
3. Reading response on Romeo and Juliet due 3/23
Other ways to make sure you do well this marking period:
- do vocabulary homework
- study for vocabulary quizzes; next one is Monday, March 19
- complete the Romeo and Juliet assigned readings, notes, and/or worksheets
- come to class prepared
- do your independent reading every night and in class and Project REAL
- pay attention in class and take notes
- participate in class activities and discussions - I want to hear from all of you at least once in each class
- study for R and J quizzes/tests - there will be one on Friday 3/16
