Sadie: she has blogging fever - woo-hoo! I can tell she is really into her book, Misery by Stephen King
Caroline: great elaboration and deep thinking around theme
Roy: great focus and structure; sophisticated writing
Anthony: I like how he writes about historical fiction, particularly Pearl Harbor, and shows what he learned from the book; very good structure also
Oscar: he also wrote about a book that deals with war and had a very important

What are ways we can improve our reading response/blog posts?
- include a relevant quotation and explain how it connects to your focus
- have a good, clear focus that includes an interpretation not just summary of the book
- connect to the world
- put a lot of time and effort into your writing
- add metaphors and similes
- elaborate on your ideas
