805 rekindled their childhood by reading their favorite picture books to one another!
There was a great array of books that included authors such as Dr. Seuss, Margaret Wise Brow, Oliver Jeffers, and Jon Sciesza Many students shared books in other languages. Sebastian read The Very Hungry Caterpillar in German, Leo read an excerpt from a book in French, and Helen brought in a book in Chinese.
Elements of picture books we noted: simple yet hidden themes, hopeful endings, vibrant illustrations that went along with the stories, characters with a problem introduced in the beginning, and themes of being yourself.
