"A book, too, can be a star, 'explosive material, capable of stirring up fresh life endlessly,' a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe." - from Madeleine L'Engle's Newberry Medal Acceptance Speech

Book Recommendations

Good fortune is upon us! I have money to buy new books for our classroom library! Yay!

What authors and titles should I add to our library?

Please respond to my post with your recommendations.

Also, please remember to take care of the books in our library. Treat them with respect. Please make sure you sign books out and in, return them promptly, and if you tatter or lose a book, make sure you replace it.

Treat books as you would children - love them, take care of them, and don't abandon them in other classrooms or in under a table in a restaurant, etc.
