Creating a Respectful and Inspiring Reading and Writing Community - One of the benefits of the blog is being able to read and respond to one another. We will be regularly commenting on each other’s posts. Follow these guidelines:
- write 2-4 sentences using academic language
- what to include in your comment - here are some choices:
- make connections - what does the writer make you think, feel, or know?
- agree/disagree with the writer's perspective or interpretation and explain why
- offer suggestions for reading - what texts have you read that relate to the response?
- ask questions for further discussion
- identify impressive writing techniques and offer alternative ideas for writing
